POEV helps people buy a used electric car without overpaying. Send us a listing and get a verdict. Free, no ads, nothing for sale.
What we do
You send the link to a listing. We tell you which battery version that car actually has, how much range it realistically has left, what the warranty covers on that exact car, whether recall campaigns apply to it, and whether the asking price makes sense next to comparable cars.
We also publish a free catalogue of new electric and plug-in hybrid cars, so you can see what a model looks like new before you judge a second-hand one.
What we deliberately do not do
- We never touch the car. There is no dongle, no plug-in device, no physical measurement, no laboratory.
- We do not issue certificates and our verdict is not a substitute for one. If you want the battery measured, get a certificate from a company that physically tests the car.
- We do not sell cars, we do not broker them, and we take no money from sellers, dealers or manufacturers.
Who runs it
POEV is a small independent project, not a company with a sales team. It is run by one person. The figures come from fixed rules, the same for every car (see “How we calculate”); AI extracts the data from the listing and drafts the texts.
We are based in Europe and work across it: the catalogue and the verdicts cover the European market rather than one country.
